Sometimes I sit still for so long. I wonder if I might turn to stone.

About 💬
When I was very unwell I would sit, sometimes for hours on end. Just sitting there with my cat on my lap, just like in this painting. I imagined that if I sat still for long enough, I would turn into a statue and one day nature would reclaim me. It gave me such comfort, having her there and enjoying the quiet, that I wanted to capture that into a painting.

This is part of my Spoonie artwork series, depicting life as a Spoonie.
