Blue hydrangeas represent Gratitude.
It can be difficult to feel gratitude at times, especially when you lead a life restricted, whether by health or circumstance. It's hard to feel grateful when life feels small but that's exactly why we need that little reminder from time to time. Because there is always something to be grateful for and hopefully this painting can help remind you of that.
It took me forever to paint this because my hands were cramping up at the time so I took a step back and another step back. I painted in tiny bits. First 2 minutes at a time. Then 3. And later 5 and even 15. Ironically, working on this reminded me that I was grateful of every minute spent with that brush in my hand and every piece of color that went onto the paper.
Like it's other floral sisters, this painting is small and sweet, with a touch of gold that reflects the light, making for a truly unique piece. It's signed on the front and named, signed & dated on the back.
This painting created on 300gsm Hahnemuhle full cotton paper, measuring 14x14cm. It was created with high-quality paints & pencils and is treated with a fixative to ensure long-lasting colours and reduce any chance of smudging.
**This original has the signs of leftover glue from the tape around the edges which you can see in the light, as you can see in the last photo. The paper has been cleaned and treated and it isn't sticky anylonger**
